Brussels Sprouts…. Love or Hate? 21 Day Fixed Approved

December 23, 2015

I always remember back in the day that Brussels sprouts were always boiled, made the house stink, and tasted horrible.  I always hated when theyFinished dish of Brussels Sprouts and Butternut Squash were on the menu.  Well I decided to reintroduce them back into my diet. Guess what?!?!  I love them!  But I do not boil the Brussels sprouts, I roast them!  Here are some great recipes that I have come to love. This mini green cabbage is rich in many valuable nutrients.  Did you know that they are an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, and dietary fiber just to name a few?

An easy way to cook your Brussels sprouts are to toss them with some olive or coconut oil, pepper, and salt and roast them at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes.  Or try some of these recipes!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Vinegar and Honey

I tried this recipe the other night for dinner.  I liked the way the honey caramelized with the Brussels sprouts.

BALSAMIC MAPLE ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BACON

Who doesn’t love bacon?  I ended up substituting turkey bacon for this dish.

Brussels Sprouts Gratin

I love her recipes!  I ended up trading out the milk for almond milk and used all Parmesan cheese because I did not have any Gruyere cheese.
