Hi! I am a wife,a mom of two beautiful children, a high school library media specialist, techy junkie, and Brownie troop leader for my daughter. Now I am adding clean eating and fitness to my list!
I keep myself busy and rarely have a day where I can just sit and relax without any worries. This in turn led me to not taking care of myself. I gained 30 pounds within a few years because I put everyone’s needs in front of my own. Well in September of 2015, I decided to take my life back and get on the right track of becoming happy,healthy, and fit.
I have been focusing on clean eating for over a year now and have been cutting some unhealthy food out of my daily diet. It has been a slow process but I am not giving up. I have tried all the quick schemes and diet pills to get “skinny” which have never worked in my favor. That’s when I found 21 Day Fix with Beachbody. This program was exactly what I was looking for. I love the clean eating, portion control containers, and 30 minute interval workouts. We have been adapting and substituting clean healthy recipes in our family dinners the last year.
I started my first challenge in September 2015 with a Beachbody group and signed up to be a discount coach. After my second challenge my coach suggested that I become a coach myself and help people like me become healthier. The challenge groups gave me the confidence, accountability and support I needed to turn my life around and focus on me for once. I had put myself on the back burner for way to long and my body image showed it. I was so unhappy looking in the mirror at myself. Joining the Beachbody challenges was the best thing I have done for myself. I have reached small goals that I have set for myself these last two months. After two challenges I am down almost 10 pounds and have lost 14.5 inches off my body. I am just starting this new healthy lifestyle and would like to help you as well. We can work on this together as a team. I love the quote “If you focus on results, you will never change. If you focus on change you will get results.” I always focused on losing five to ten pounds, but never really achieved it. I always found myself saying I would start again on Monday after falling off my diet a few days in. It wasn’t until the second challenge that I found this quote and it changed my outlook on life.
My goal is to support you in any way I can and work together as a team. I am not a fitness expert nor a dietitian, but someone who looked in the mirror one day and realized I needed to change my lifestyle and put me first. Have I reached my goals yet? No, not even close. FIVE MONTH UPDATE
Hey guys!! I finished my last accountability group a few weeks ago on January 24. I was down 17 pounds and 20 inches. I have noticed my body changing on the outside….BUT best of all I have changed on the inside. I feel so great, have so much energy, and I love the person I am becoming! I had to work on me first to make this a healthy lifestyle, instead of a diet that I would quit in a few weeks.
I always focused on results and that was my big problem. So many other programs focus on the scale or offer a quick fix. But this program is neither. Once I began to work on change I have begun to see the results. I am nowhere close to where I want to be, but five months in and I am still at it! Before I would have quit after month one. Why? Because I didn’t see those big numbers, would let the scale dictate how I feel about myself, become discouraged and quit. Then you know what happened next? Yep, you guessed…I gained the weight I had lost plus more. I was a yo-yo. Not anymore! I now know how to work this lifestyle into my busy schedule. I can’t wait to see my next set of results!!
